The radiation practice at Gettysburg Cancer Center was established in 2006. Prior to this, patients needing radiation therapy had to travel extensive distances to receive treatment.
Our radiation department includes Andrew J. Young, M.D., as the Medical Director and Clinical Radiation Oncologist, with faculty and Medical Director experience at Dartmouth and The University of Michigan; as well as a team of radiation therapists who have experience in multiple academic settings including extensive experience in diagnostic imaging.
Our radiation oncology team not only delivers technically accurate treatment but provides evidence based and compassionate care for every patient, working closely with multidisciplinary teams of other Oncologic subspecialists both within the local region as well as larger academic tertiary centers.
